Google launches a Podcast App for Android

Google Podcasts has arrived! This is good news for podcasters around the world who uses Android phones. In addition, the revenues for the podcasts industry are up 86% from the last year 2017. However, podcasts represent less than 2% of radio ad spend in the U.S. And with the increasing trends of podcasting, this is a good development from Google. Hopefully, Google’s investment in the ecosystem will expand the pie and ultimately help podcast creators find an audience.

Google Podcasts is a new way for Android users to discover and listen to the world’s podcasts. You can subscribe to any show for free and download episodes for offline listening. All your listening is automatically synced across devices so you can pause on one device and resume on another with the Google Assistant. Google Podcasts is designed to make it easier than ever for Android users to discover and listen to podcasts.

You can download it directly from Google Play
