13 Effective Ways to Retain Visitors to Your Blog

It’s one thing to keep getting new visitors to your blog; it’s another thing to retain visitors coming back for more. However, making them subscribe to your blog might not help in retaining visitors to your blog. Some of them might subscribe to your blog or become part of your blog’s social media profiles, but that does not mean they’ll come back for more on your blog. 13. Be genuine – one of the best ways to retain visitors is to be genuine. A lot of people get carried away with optimization. They make false promises and use dubious things like fake testimonials.     I totally agree with this points. i hope blogers and online entreprenuers will take them to heart. i have written two short ebooks that i want to give my web visitors for free. I think that is how business should be done online. People come to our website because of themselves not because of us (bloggers). Only that i don’t have up to 30,000 or 40,000 words, not even close. But just as you pointed out “quality trumps quantity any day”.

    Its all about serving our audience and creating engagement with our content.

      It doesn’t really matter the number of words you have in your ebook. What matters is the quality. I’ve seen short and quality packed ebooks and i’ve seen long and useless ebooks too.

    I want to add to the ‘Focus on headlines’ point: Make sure that they are magnetic, but also avoid linkbaiting/spammy titles! It turns people off. Outbrain did an excellent article about how to avoid spammy titles, it might be worth checking out.

    Also, replying to comments is all well and good….but what if you simply don’t get any comments! How do you increase engagement?

      I think it’s safe to ask your readers to drop comments containing their opinions about the post. You could also write contents that provokes responses.
