How to Make Real Money Online from Affiliate Marketing in Nigeria

affiliate marketing

To start with, affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a product or service owner rewards affiliates for each customer brought about by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. In simple terms, you get paid a percentage of the income made on every sale generated by your effort. Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to make money online in Nigeria.

It is easy because you don’t really get to do the major work. What you need to do is to find the best performing product or service you can market as an affiliate, set-up a mini-niche blog for it, work to rank the blog on Google page 1 for its keyword and start an email list to promote the product/service. The big requirement for success in affiliate marketing in Nigeria is to target the right people and generate massive traffic to what you are marketing as an affiliate.

Affiliate marketing has four major players – the brand, the network that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments, the affiliate (you) and the customer.

The first thing for succeeding in affiliate marketing is to find the right brands to promote and a network where you can find the offers to choose from. The next thing is to choose the right affiliate product/service you can promote. Choose the product/service and generate your affiliate links for each product/service. After which, you need to locate where you target market is. When you find them, you can then start marketing your affiliate product/service to them. Make sure you don’t spam your prospects.

Now, you need to go ahead and make use of the information in this post. This would help you in your success with affiliate marketing in Nigeria. In summary, you need to do these to make real money online from affiliate marketing in Nigeria.

1. Find the right brands/products/service or affiliate network where you can find the offers to choose from.
2. Register on the affiliate network or the affiliate site as an affiliate
3. Read the site policies and all the information on how to succeed as an affiliate
2. Choose the right affiliate product/service you can promote. Choose the product/service that you have a knowledge about
3. Generate your affiliate links for each product/service. Remember to use URL shorteners provided by the affiliate site or use sites like Goo.gl to shorten your affiliate URLs
4. Locate where your target market is (i.e. the people who really need what you are affiliating for). When you find them, you can then start marketing the product/service to them via your affiliate URLs/links

I have very good experience with Amazon, just pick a popular product that sells a lot, create site and start drive traffic. Clickbank is also good, but it’s harder to promote.

Thanks for that tip Petr, having a site dedicated to the affiliate product sells well. You can also do the same thing for ClickBank

      1. No, the real and legit ones I know ONLY pays you a percentage commission after someone makes a purchase via your referral link.
      2. No, you can only use your VTN account to carry out transactions on the sites that accepts VTN trasactions.
      3. Yes, I know virtapay but sorry, you cannot withdraw the money yet. You can only use it for trade-by-barter (i.e. pay for services or products on virtapay).

Thanks for the insight. Can one create a site and promote more than one affiliate product?

    1. Adesoji Avatar

      Yes, Jimmy.

You can promote more than one affiliate product on a site. However, you will need to choose a domain name that is not focused on just one product. Also, the contents on the site should vary based on the categories of the products you want to promote.
