The Nigeria’s youth entrepreneurship strategy (YES) was launched in Abuja, Nigeria today – Tuesday 10th February, 2015. This is a broad based public-private partnership programme meant to redefine job creation for young men and women in Nigeria.
It is said that the youth entrepreneurship strategy programme would open the gateway to creating more jobs for the youths in Nigeria, being part of the efforts geared towards achieving the envisaged two million jobs in the nation’s economy. Young Nigerians who have benefited from the different government entrepreneurship and job creation programmes paid glowing tributes to how the programmes have positively impacted their lives.
The co-ordinator of the public-private-partnership entrepreneurship programme, Mr Nicholas Okoye called on youths in Nigeria to take advantage of the programme to become employers of labour instead of seeking white collar jobs.
