For the past week (June 22 – 28, 2020), the number one song on my top 5 songs of the week is “Deep End” by Lecrae. I chose this song because it represents what I’ve been feeling lately.
“Deep End” is a mournful track regarding Lecrae’s pain over the death of George Floyd. The vulnerable track is about Lecrae’s struggle with his faith and being a black man in America. Lecrae is the name used by the artist Lecrae Devaughn Moore. The song was released on June 24, 2020.
