Ragamuffin: The True Story of Rich Mullins

Few days ago, I watched a movie titled Ragamuffin. I’ll say this movie is classified as the best movie I’ve seen in 2014. It’s based on the life of Rich Mullins, a musical prodigy who rose to Christian music fame and fortune only to walk away from it and live in a local reservation. Rich is known for so many popular songs, one of which is Awesome God

He was raised by a somewhat callous father and a loving mother. In short, he didn’t experience true love from his father. Later on, that experience affected him in discovering the true love of God towards him.

Rich Mullins really loved Jesus but was a rebel in church and towards Christian music business. But he never let his own experience while growing up to affect his purpose and love towards God.

In all this, he decided to live a life of honesty and reckless faith amidst a culture of religion and conformity to the ways of the world.

I learned a big lesson from this movie. Actually, I know the lessons before but this true story helped me reassure my faith in God. I was reassured that, no matter what happens to me in this world, God’s love for me never change. I was also re-assured that, Christianity is all about learning how to love Jesus. Do you really believe in God’s love for you?

I’m sure you too will learn lots of lesson if you can find and watch this film. It will help you reassure and re-access your walk with God and how to make changes.

Below is a trailer of the movie.

No matter what you going through now, God got a bigger plan for you. You need to find and follow it with all you’ve got. That’s where you greatness lies and God is waiting to receive all the glory.

  1. Seriously, I couldn’t have missed this post for nothing.

Bro, at the end of the day, it’s the soul that matters – not material things and achievements.

Rich Mullins is one of the many people who have recognised that religion and conformity is choking Christianity.

God’s plan was for us to experience his love and live for him, with him and through him.

Thanks for sharing. And please update your the post with the trailer of the movie.
