Oops…My last post here was over a week ago, precisely on the 17th of this month. I didn’t mean to go away for long. Of a truth, I wasn’t even away. I’ve been here throughout the week. For those of you who visited here during that week, I’m sure you noticed some things going on here. I was doing a total restructuring. First, I had to move my posts from my former blog here. I also had to save a back up (please make it a habit to always have a back-up for all you do) of all my post in order to wipe and reload Worpress. I went through a lot which I have learned from. Thanks to problems challenges. What I should have done in two or three days took me seven days and counting because of some situations common to Nigeria. Though, I’m not yet through with the restructuring as you can see yourself, but I can’t skip so many days without a post from me. Now, let’s get to the business of today

We are in the times of financial crunch. The effect of this is seen in every nation’s economy and also on people’s personal economy. No doubt about this. The question is, where did it all started? History tells me that this was not the first. There is the great depression amongst others. What name should we call this present crisis? Anyway, mark these times in your history books because the financial crisis will soon become a history. It does not matter how hard it is, this too shall pass and leave us on top of it. A song by Kirk Franklin titled “We Need a Revolution” says a part of this post well.

Not so long we were all celebrating a great economy. Wow, can’t times change? Now, the equity in some homes is evaporating like steam. We have had Tsunami and over 100, 000 people died. Earthquakes hit China and a thousand of Children perished in the rubble of their school. These and many more crises we have heard about while some even witnessed. These crises also transcend into our finance. Now some are experiencing financial tsunami. It all seem that our security blanket has been stripped away and our comfort zones shaken to its core.

The things we considered as secured are no more secured. The things we are sure of are no more worthy to put our bet on. The things we literally put our trust in has lost our trust. The people we considered as best are now only good. Warren Buffet who was the world’s richest few months back is no more because of this financial meltdown. Companies are cutting salaries and jobs while many had laid an embargo on employment putting we ‘employable unemployed’ youths who needs a job to start with in a state of dilemma. Well, there is always a two side to a coin (Head and Tail). In these times, many are experiencing the head-side of the coin while many others are experiencing otherwise.

There is a way to keep you permanently on the head-side of life that you will always be on top of every situation. There is what you need to know to keep you ahead always. If you listen you will hear it: It’s time to seek God, to repent, to change the way we are living. It’s an old message for a new generation which says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, and I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land.” This is the truth in finding a way out of the financial crisis. You might say, “The people around me aren’t saying that truth”. It’s time to change the company you keep. If they are not living by the truth, then change the people you relate with. It will affect you. Many people may be pessimistic about the situation of things, but will you also be? All things are possible to them that believe. It is time for our lands to be healed. It is time for revolution.

Anyway, we don’t need a majority of people to turn things around. In the times of Abraham – the father of many nations, when Sodom was experiencing crisis of whatever kind, God told Abraham that just fifty (50) people with a heart of righteousness could save Sodom. Like the forecast on Freakonomics, there would be no more cash in 2012, but you can set forth a change. You can turn this to just mere lies. It is some few people in all the nations of the world that is needed to bring about the financial revolution that we all need. It is only few committed people with their words, thought and deeds that will set forth an order of total revolution in their finances. The question is, are you one of them? Are you ready to be part of them? There are people already who are part of them.

If you want to be one of them, like I stated earlier, it’s time to:

- Seek God.
Seek God and His righteousness like never before. Have a right standing with Him. This is what you must do first. You need to connect and remain connected to the source of all good things. He is the one that gives the power to make wealth and be wealthy. Seek to do only what pleases Him. It is not the time to cut corners. It is time to live right, act right, and think right in line with what God desires. Seek His face in all you do. Be ready to listen to Him speak. Is there anything to hard for you to do? It is not hard for Him to do. Seek His will. Be in one spirit with God. Let this be the most important thing in your life.

- Repent
This repentance is of two ways. 1. It is time to repent of all your wrong deeds. Ask for forgiveness for all the wrong things you have done in words, thoughts and deeds. Receive the power not to do them again. You don’t have to lie to make it in life. You don’t have to deceive to be financially free. You don’t have to scam people to be wealthy. You don’t have to swindle people to become rich. Repent. 2. It is time to repent of your present level. Until you repent from your present level, you are not ready to move up to another level. Repent here means to get dissatisfied with where you are. If you are not tired of where you are, I want you to know that where you are is tired of you. Repent. Reach out from where you are.

- Change the way you are living financially
Stop living like a total consumer. Make good use of what you have. Don’t over spend. Save. Invest. Give. Pay your tithes. Give offerings to the needy. Engage in quality kingdom service. Sow into people life and business. Support worthy causes. Stop buying on impulse. Buy things on a discount and even wholesales where necessarily. That little kobo, cent, penny, franc etc matters. Go only where you have to go. Start a business. Get trained. There are so many things you can do to change the way you are living financially. Get soaked in the Bible to find the ways out. Get into good bookstores and get quality books that will teach you the right ways to live financially. I also know a way you can change your financial life positively. People are already making good use of this way and they have testimonies for it even in these times of financial crisis.
