Recently, I have heard so many things from friends and from the social media news on the internet about Facebook. What brought about this question is my discussion with a friend. He told me how he got more traffic and more sign ups for his website (fortunately, i am one of the team members for the website) just by placing an advert on Facebook. No doubt, there is always two sides to everything. I am so sure that Facebook has her good part and definitely has her bad part. The two sides does not have to be from Facebook but her users. I believe no one who wants to help the other person will want to do the same person harm.
Anyway, here I am in the middle of this discussion – the discussion to know how Facebook has helped you or how Facebook has caused you harm. I really want to know the two parts. I need you to tell me how Facebook has helped you and also how Facebook has caused you harm.
Though, this discussion is strictly for Facebook users but none Facebook users can also comment based on what they might have heard from their friends about Facebook. I believe this will help everyone reading this and other Facebook users in a great way.

To start with, I have been on Facebook for over two (2) years and I can truly say that Facebook has done more good to me. Facebook has helped me to get more friends and build a good network/relationship with those i have not seen in person. Facebook has helped me to stay informed to the extent that i get news on Facebook even before I see it in the TV, hear it on Radio or read it in the Newspapers.
Facebook has helped me also to express myself. Facebook has helped me to create an image on the internet. Facebook has helped me to stay inspired through friends status updates, notes, pictures, videos et all. Facebook has and will still do me good. The harm Facebook has on me is that she gives me sleepless night most times. Anyday I don’t sign on to Facebook will be like I am not complete. One other harm is that somethings i go without food just to stay on Facebook.
Now, over to you. You need to tell us how facebook has helped you and/or how facebook has caused you harm. I no way am I degrading Facebook and in no way should you degrade Facebook. This question is just to show your experience with Facebook. Let it be so. I’m looking forwars to read from you and know your experience with Facebook over time.
Love you still!

Hi Melvin. You can say that again. If not managed well, Facebook will distract many from doing what they need do when they need to do it. No doubt, Facebook has more benefits.
Thanks

It’s become a time suck. Lots of Facebook games available and keeping people busy. Just scan the stream of Facebook updates to see what I mean. These are all about Farm Ville, Farm Town, Poker, Mafia Wars and tons of quizzes. Maybe these people have time for games, but I try to stay away.
I’m a voracious reader so I use the stream of FB updates looking for good links shared by fellow friends in Facebook. That’s what keep me interested in Facebook. And a chance to know these amazing people in a more relaxed setting.

Facebook has helped destroy many relationships, including marriages. With a business model that preys on infidelity, I’m sure the number of people harmed is many.
