"Only a life lived for others is worth living" - Albert Einstein. That is what i do here. "The desire for increase is inherent in all nature; it is the fundamental impulse of the universe. All human activities are based on the desire for increase. People are seeking more food, more clothes, better shelter, more luxury, more beauty, more knowledge, more pleasure ? increase in something, more life." - Wallace D. Wattles -->>> More knowledge and life you will find here. This is a creative center from which increase is given to all. "The person who is certain to advance is the one who is too big for his place, who has a clear concept of what he wants to be, who knows that he can become what he wants to be, and who is determined to be what he wants to be."

bridgetelesinIf you have followed the sequence of things on this blog, you will notice that I didn’t post anything about my personality for last week. I didn’t mean to. The person I chose to be my personality of the week had to travel all the way from California, USA to Lagos, Nigeria. I guess she had much in her hands but I’m glad to do this about her.

Here I am today to write about my personality for this outgoing week which marks the end of the month of May, 2009. Today’s personality of the week is the second in the series. If you missed the first one, and you are also curious enough, you can take time and read it here

My personality of the week is Mrs. Bridget Elesin, she is also known as ‘Biddy’. I have never met her in person but that will happen very soon. She was in the US before but now in Lagos, Nigeria. It’s funny how social networking sites works, especially facebook. My journey to meeting her started when I got a picture of “10 Values of a Nigerian” from Prof. Pat Utomi’s page. I uploaded the picture and tagged so many people. Out of the people I tagged is my role model – Mr. Adeolu Akinyemi (I will soon bring him here). It was through this that Mrs. Bridget Elesin got in contact with me. She asked me to tag her on the picture which I did and the rest is history. We relate as if we have met for years. Anyway, we have almost the same interest – Nigeria, Christianity, Inspiring people, Reading, Blogging, Writing amongst others. We also admin some groups on Facebook together, where she does most of the works. She is an inspiration to me and to all that knows her. They all can testify to it.

She came in to existence on the 11th day of March, year xxxx (for security reasons please). She is from Edo State by birth and Ekiti State by Marriage. I leave you all to do the calculation. Who says inter-tribal marriage is not good. She loves reading, travelling, hanging out with my family members/friends. Reading makes a good leader and a well informed human being. Travelling, yes she travelled all the way from USA to Nigeria. Hanging out with family members/friends, yes, as I am writing this, she should be on her way to Akure to see her in-loves (in-laws in her own words), then to Benin and other places she decides (travelling)

She does marketing, manage events and also develop business ideas. So, if you need someone I can vouch for in the area of managing events and developing business ideas, then you need do business with Mrs. Bridget Elesin. She is also has special abilities in creative thinking, writing, speaking words of wisdom to people’s lives to help them achieve their life dream/goals. All these make her special and unique amongst many people. These also sort her out from within majority. I am a witness to that. These are also some of the reason why I chose to make her my personality of the week. If you have not learned anything till now, you need to re-read with rapt attention. If you have, go along with me as you get more.

It is a different thing to have a dream and a different thing to know how to achieve the dream. In order to achieve her dreams and goals, she organizes or do educative and inspiring talk-shows. Sometimes as an hostess, inspired speaker, author/publisher and a writer/producer of documentaries/films. She is an event manager/marketer extraordinaire. She is in a class of her own.

In order for you to a meaningful life you need to discover your vision. Vision makes you unstoppable. For Mrs. Bridget Elesin, her vision is to live out her dreams by impacting people to live THEIR BEST LIFE IN CHRIST. This sounds like Oprah Winfrey’s disciple. No wonder when I asked her who her mentors her, her first response was Oprah Winfrey, then Joyce Meyer, Rev. E. Adeboye, Bishop M. Idahosa, Bishop Oyedepo, Rev. Sam Adeyemi, John Maxwell, Mike Murdoch, Myles Munroe, Pastor Abolade, Tyler Perry, and T. Elesin ( My adorable husband). Wow, you can see combination of great people as mentors. She will be in a meeting in Benin with Mike Murdoch as one of the speakers. I can’t but imagine the kind of spirit that lives in her. What about you? Do you have mentors? You had better get quality ones so that your spirit will never experience a dull moment. Anyway, she is one of my god-mothers literally, one of my women mentors.

Are your strong points are prayer, forgiving, love for people and building long lasting relationships. She also has the strongest point which I believe every human being should have. That strongest point is “I believe all things are possible in Christ!” By 2014, exactly five (5) years ahead, she wants to be a 3W Woman – Worded, Wise and Wealthy! I pray that she will be just what she wants to be. What do you want to be in 2014? Ask yourself and think very well before you make a decision.

Every successful life is guided by kingdom principles. Her guiding principles is “seeking first God’s Kingdom and every other thing shall be added unto me and being led by the Holy Spirit to take choices that will determine my great destiny”. To describe herself in one word, she said she is BRILLIANT!. This I can testify to. What about you? If I ask you to describe yourself in one word, what will be that be?

In our journey through life, we are meant to learn secrets. These secrets are what make up our story. Great men share the secrets that make them great. Ordinary men tell stories of what they should have discovered. Her most profound secret is “You and Christ are unstoppable”. With this, there is nothing she would want to change about herself. She has discovered the secret – one with God is a majority! What else does she want to change?

Definitely, she has reached a level of success and what keeps her going on to achieve more is the believe that she can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Also, the belief that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered the heart of men, what God has in store for those that love Him. It all boils down to how much we love God and other people. And to according her, success means the extra that comes from committed/passionate effort put into whatever you do. To become more successful and great, she said first is to “seek first God’s Kingdom and everything shall be added unto you. Matthew 6 – 33.” Second, Be passionate about what you are doing, be committed and be a person of integrity. Let Joshua 1- 8 be your watchword with prayers. Be a team player as being successful/great is not achieved alone. Over perform whenever you are given a job and that will keep the jobs coming, be relationship centered first before money.

It has been said that we lack good leaders in Nigeria. I also believe the followers of yesterday are the leaders of today. Bad followers necessarily becomes to bad leaders. To her, leadership means serving people and affecting lives just like Jesus Christ. Of a truth, this is the basic structure for a leader – serving people and affecting lives positively just like Jesus did. Youths, we are no longer the leaders of tomorrow; we are the leaders of today. Tomorrow never comes. The tomorrow you waited for yesterday is the today you have now. Every leader must live by example and by Godly/Right Influence which is what she said about leading leaders.

She advised that excellence should be a way of life for everyone. She then defined excellence as over performance and surpassing expectations. Of a truth, we are not created to be mediocre but an excellent human being. Excellent is what you get after the best. Simply, you are good, then better, then best and after that excellent. No wonder, the number one in any nation or state is called His Excellency. According to her, you become excellent by being deliberate in your actions to always give your best per time

Her inspiration comes from God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, My Husband/Family, Inspirational books and inspired relationships. This are what keeps her from expiration. She draws strength when inspired by these ones. Also, time is the constituent of life. The way you use your time determines what you will get from life. Mrs. Bridget uses her time as being a wife and a mother/home keeper. This is what every wife must cultivate. Why will you get married is you can’t devote your time to be a wife and a mother. She also uses her time praying, reading, writing, browsing the net (for more information and blessing lives), blogging (she has blogs @ http://www.bridgetelesinspeaks.blogspot.com and http://bridget-elesin-laughs.blogspot.com/), and jisting! lol

Everyone is created to start/solve one problem or the other. One her own part, she is helping to solve the problem of ignorance by educating people with my inspired writings, as I believe the truth we knows sets free! This is one of the ways where our interest meets and we will continue to. No wonder she is my god-mother.

Finally, her advice to everyone reading this is, “Follow Christ, Think Big, dream Big, Believe God to bring your dream to pass like Joseph in the bible (Be a person of integrity just like Joseph)”. I believe you will go from here and do likewise. She also gave me an advice which I will hold unto my heart. For your benefit also, the advise is, “Adegbulu… One with Christ is in the majority! Be a person of integrity, passion and compassion, keeping serving and being a blessing as pay day will definitely come. Sure, I will do likewise

A final word from her is, “our world is waiting for us to manifest… Let us stand up for something right always, so we do not fall for the wrong things”.
