To be financially prosperous you need an anchor. A ship at the harbor needs an anchor so as not to be driven away by the strong waves. If you want your financial prosperity to remain even in the times of hardship, you need an anchor. Anchor represents the security you have on your financial prosperity. Nobody can give you this security. It does not matter the amount of security men you have. It does not matter where you keep your money. It does not matter who guard your money. It all depends on this one thing that I’m about to reveal.
The anchor for your financial prosperity is financial integrity. Integrity is being honest and having strong moral principles. A man with financial integrity is devoid of crookedness in his financial dealings. II Cor 4:1-2; People who are financially honest has nothing to hide about their finances. They are not shady in their dealings. They value how they make money than the money itself. They value their name more than the money they make. They are more concerned with the approach than how much they makes. They do not step on peoples toe in order to make money. They are mindful of the source than the money itself.
Financial integrity speeds up your progress into more financial prosperity. Skill and integrity goes together. You may have the skill required to make money, you need integrity to keep it and make more of it. A man with skill and without integrity will soon kill himself.
Importance of Financial Integrity
It builds Trust
Trust opens doors for higher opportunities towards you. The more integrity you have in your little finances the more God trust you with more finances. The more you environment trust you with more finances. The more you can get OPM (other people’s money) and OPT (other people’s time) to make more money for yourself and give them back theirs’.
It preserves Destiny
Financial integrity preserves your destiny. You will have a cordial relationship with God and with your fellow human being. The windows of heaven will continually open upon you. You will get fresh ideas that lead to the preservation of your destiny. Things that pertain to your destiny will naturally works out for you. God delights in the prosperity of the righteous (those with financial integrity).
It guarantees Peace of Mind
People will be at peace with you. There is nothing to fear when you don’t have anything to hide. It is when you hide the truth about your finances that you will be at war within you because you don’t want the next person to know about it. You wouldn’t be like those who sleep with one eyes closed and the other open. The easiest way to sleep with your two eyes closed is to have integrity about your finances.
It guarantees generational Prosperity
In Pro 20: 7, it is said that “the godly walk with integrity; blessed are their children after them.” Blessing will never cease to follow the children of those who have financial integrity. The generations that follow them will find blessing in all they do. Do you want your children to be blessed?, then be honest about how you make your money. This was recorded about David and his son, Solomon. David had financial integrity and his son, Solomon was blessed. “I Kings 5:6-7: …Now please command that cedars from Lebanon be cut for me. Let my men work alongside yours, and I will pay your men whatever wages you ask. As you know, there is no one among us who can cut timber like you Sidonians!” When Hiram received Solomon’s message, he was very pleased and said, “Praise the Lord for giving David a wise son to be king of the great nation of Israel.”

Be contended with what you have
Contentment is a sense of inward sufficiency. All your sufficiency is in God and not in your money. No amount of money can satisfy human being. Godliness with contentment is a great gain. It is a great wealth itself.
Be Patient
Don’t be hasty to be rich. Delay is never a denial if your focus is on God. Delay is denial when your focus is on being rich. Beware of all this get rich quick seminars. I see them a lot. Beware of those who say you can make $1000 a month without starting with anything. In following God step by step lies your profitable financial prosperity.
Avoid Physical Comparism
It has being said that it is a fool that compares himself with others – II Cor 10:12. Stop comparing yourself with others, you are unique. A man of financial integrity knows that it is foolishness to compare himself with others. Compare spiritual matters (things about the kingdom of God) and not physical matter (things about this earth alone).
Work Hard. Work Smart
Financial prosperity doesn’t jump on people. It comes as a result of some certain works that has been put in place. If you ask the truly rich, they will tell you that hard work and smart work is part of the booster for their financial prosperity. Poverty runs after the lazy.
Maintain Good Conscience
Let your conscience be at peace with you. Maintain a quality conscience as par the way you make money. If it worries your conscience, please don’t go further. You conscience has being given to you to be an umpire. Don’t be fouled by it.
Trust in God
The final and the major booster for financial prosperity is your trust in God. Trust Him for your blessings and your financial needs. Without this, you will lack financial integrity.
